Sydney Town Hall

Treasured as one of the grandest surviving 19th century halls in Australia, the Centennial Hall was completed in 1889 in honour of the centenary of the founding of Australia.

The Vestibule opened in 1880 as Sydney’s first town hall before the completion of the Centennial Hall, some nineteen years later.

The recent upgrade of the Lower Town Hall has restored one of Sydney’s most accessible public venues.

Situated 4 floors above street level, surrounded by the Sydney Skyline, the Marconi Terrace is the ideal spot to host a summer cocktail party comfortably holding 300 guests for cocktails.

Level 4 of Town Hall House contains two meeting rooms, the Marconi Room and adjoining Terrace and the large Southern Function Room overlooking Sydney Square.
